Gut Rushing Rusty
Nobody Knows Anything. Clouds of cut Italo look on and over this fine Supersoul/Kompakt/DFA release, as acid house comes to reclaim the record’s own worn, rusting cityscape in the name of all that gleams, kraut synths like Tangerine floodlights, disco trains whining through the orchestrated rubble wet with new rain and the sweat beads of a groaning populous. Young faces hang from tenement windows, surveying the glorious tumult, a million cigarettes flicked in sync a falling cloud of ash.

Stay Awake
The summer ends as it began. Bottles draining, light, clothes, libidos shifting; every minute a 300,000 couple gunge race. Nothing really changing and still us, with no clue as to what happens next and content to just bury ourselves or at least our passports, extricated hearts, crashing cars beneath and into a teetering slag heap of noise – in this instance and then, Times New Viking’s slag heap of noise – and sorely x our digits, close our fists, clench our eyes and wait for whatever to unfold.
