Waking up lost in deep beat territory, Vitamin Club’s Peter O’Grady wants wax; fumbling a minute at his gluey eyes, unblocking his still-stunned ears and firing a nostril flare off toward the grim(e)y ground behind before setting a path through recent adventures in doomsday sub-sound. That path is x’d, naturally enough, with all your recent dubland motley - Glasgow’s Rustie, Eindhoven’s Martyn, Telepathe of Brooklyn, London pair Darkstar. That last name in particular is resonant - O’Grady’s mix is cut stellar in shadow and, more tangibly, Darkstar will be appearing at the Amersham Arms for a No Pain In Pop show headlined by The Bug on the 18th of October.
