Is this thing still on…? Lull over. You must listen to this. London-based Mancunian-born Floating Points recently put together a mix for Eglo Recs cohort Alex Nut’s Rinse FM show. Sam Sheperd stretches ears night-sky-wide, taking in Dilla-beat hip-hop, lairy bassland shocks and Apple’s funky anthem ‘De Siegalizer‘. The best parts of the mix are his, though - ‘Vacuum Boogie’ and ‘J&W Beat’ particularly fine, rolling with a subtle but unshakeable sense of purpose through just over half an hour of Rinse airtime.
