Leaving his native Turin for London in August 2008, Alessio Natalizia began conjuring his noise from the depths of a Camden bedroom to thwart the loneliness lurking in the din of a new city. Often sore, sometimes soaring, tracks like ‘Mr No’ and ‘Sweating Takes Time’ bristle with the prickly delirium that afflicts when you spend your days alone in a room surrounded by samplers and wires and your nights navigating the urban clamour. Joined live by Daniel of Gentle Friendly and Buttonhead, Alessio’s music seems to take influence from the genius of Arthur Russell, Animal Collective and anything else that’s ever vibrated, capturing the busy dreams of lost spectres in an endless, ascending loop.
