Twirling incantations tangled on rocks of pixel frosted glass as, all the while, burning acetate clogs the sifting of sediment through sun-drenched mouths. Susu Laroche’s imagination won’t seem to sit still as she tries to scan it into her computer; it continually quivers to shed spines of occult seaside frolics and the repressed childhood memories of horror films glimpsed whilst alone in the early hours of the morning. Her photographs, somehow stolen from herself, often reveal more than we deserve to see.

All photography by Louis Hartnoll, though evidence of the stage invasion exists at the Discoteca Oceano ‘blog. Babelfish Translation reckons the poster there (Felix Ruiz III, I think) thought, “The concert in himself was perfect. Stage invation of which they mark time with gachi extinguishing all the soundsystem. The songs sounded MASSIVE. Power, dances, PA. PA.PA. PA. PA. PA POPE PAPAPAPAPA.”

In this instance, we simply can’t disagree.
