Is the future something to step into, or something that comes hunting you? It’s a lonely traipse, one moment to the next. Never quite sure who’ll make it with you. Jah Pat’s latest mix finds comfort in tomorrow dirt, suggests the absence of clean moments dislocated from each other. If this gleams it’s ’cause someone wants it that way. No purity without purification.
Come to the Old Blue Last tomorrow night, the 20th of March. It is free.

End of a Sentry
Jah Pat has been eaten by machines. He liked it, though - conveyor belts reeled him in grinning, tireless rubbery tongues delivering him unto a belly of cogs, cables and tiny lasers made huge by the chewing of him into blissful invisibility. Busy and supremely well-oiled, NPIP004 is the greatest mix Pat’s offered up yet - the ever-reliable bassland sentry going deeper, darker, seeing more than ever before.
Taking in Darkstar, George Fitzgerald, Daniel Wang, Joy Orbison and Deadboy, the full tracklist can be found after the jump.

footfall
Joy Orbison refixing Four Tet’s ‘Love Cry’ into something that still sounds like it exists in the elastic gravity between the ‘floor and some golden being’s golden sole.
In It
We’re proud to present the third NPIP mix from the stalwart Jah Pat, its tracklist reading like a Greatest Hits of the year so far in bassland music. From DVA and HardHouse Banton to FaltyDL and Untold, via Pearson Sound and the totemic centrepiece of Joy Orbison’s ‘Hyph Mango’, his NPIP003 emerges from the dank energised and invincible, looking to throttle.
Full tracklist after the fold.
